Zed Industries introduces its new “Low Oxygen” Shuttle Tray Sealer, Model Z-Med-MAP. This newest option in Zed’s full line of medical lid sealers provides a “Modified Atmosphere” sealing, including: gas purge/flush, full vacuum packaging and oxygen “Free” environments.

Theoretical oxygen values of less than 0.1% (one-tenth of one percent), are achievable with cycle times of just a few seconds. The system is supplied complete with incoming connections for Nitrogen or other purge/flood gas media.

A self contained positive displacement pumping system supplies vacuum capacities, while a unique vacuum oscillation circuit reduces the package oxygen content. Cycle options provide for theoretical oxygen values of 1.25% to below 0.100% O2 respectively. Partial vacuum or balance atmospheric sealing is accomplished through on-board regulation.

The system comes complete with full PLC controls, easy to utilize HMI and job memory parameter storage. Full networking or modem communication is available, as well as end of shift capabilities.

Optional on-board vision completes the system to fully document product loading, batch/lot documentation, as well as quality reporting throughout the job run.

This system is ideal for barrier applications where oxygen scavenger materials are prohibitive.

The MAP design and its options is now available on all of the Zed line of medical and food grade shuttle sealers, as well as Zed’s rotary and in-line high volume packaging lines.
